Then Vasiṣṭha—best among those who recite sacred japa—being propitiated by the gods, entered into friendship and declared: “So be it; you are a Brahmarṣi.”

Thereupon, pleased by the gods, Vasishta, the best among ascetics, lovingly said to Viswamitra "You are a Brahmarshi, let it be so".

Dharma culminates in truthful speech that heals: Vasiṣṭha’s acknowledgment and friendship show that righteousness includes restoring harmony after rivalry.

The gods persuade Vasiṣṭha, who then formally recognizes Viśvāmitra as a Brahmarṣi and establishes friendly relations.

Magnanimity—Vasiṣṭha’s willingness to affirm and befriend, ending enmity.
