विश्वामित्रस्य ब्राह्मर्षित्वप्राप्तिः — Viśvāmitra Attains Brahmarṣi Status
अथ हैमवतीं राम दिशं त्यक्त्वा महामुनि:।पूर्वां दिशमनुप्राप्य तपस्तेपे सुदारुणम्।।।।
atha haimavatīṃ rāma diśaṃ tyaktvā mahāmuniḥ | pūrvāṃ diśam anuprāpya tapas tepe sudāruṇam ||
Thereafter, O Rāma, the great sage, leaving the Himālaya region behind, reached the eastern quarter and undertook exceedingly severe austerities.
"O Rama! thereafter the great ascetic (Viswamitra), abandoning the north of the Himavat mountain reached the eastern quarter and performed rigorous austerities.
It underscores dharma as disciplined self-cultivation: spiritual authority is earned through sustained austerity and purposeful renunciation.
Viśvāmitra continues recounting his life: after leaving the Himalayan region, he goes east to intensify his tapas.
