तां पुरीं स महातेजा राजा दशरथो महान् ।शशास शमितामित्रो नक्षत्राणीव चन्द्रमा: ।।1.6.27।।

Transliteration

tāṃ purīṃ sa mahātejā rājā daśaratho mahān |

śaśāsa śamitāmitro nakṣatrāṇīva candramāḥ || 1.6.27 ||

That great, radiant King Daśaratha—who had subdued his foes—ruled the city as the moon rules over the stars.
