Rāma, this indeed is the Māgadhī river belonging to that great-souled Vasu; it flows eastward, with fertile lands, garlanded as it were with crops.
Rama, this Magadhi river, of great Vasu flows from the east surrounded by fertile crops fields like a garland.
Dharma is subtly tied to stewardship: fertile fields and orderly rivers symbolize prosperity that accompanies righteous rule and harmonious living with nature.
While traveling, Viśvāmitra points out the Māgadhī river and connects it to the legacy of Vasu.
Attentiveness and learned awareness—Rāma is being educated to see places through history, lineage, and dharmic meaning.
