Shloka 1.13.35

हयमेध-यज्ञोपक्रमः — Commencement of the Aśvamedha Preparations

सर्वकामैरुपहृतैरुपेतं च समन्तत:। द्रष्टुमर्हसि राजेन्द्र मनसेव विनिर्मितम्।।1.13.35।।

tathā vasiṣṭhavacanād ṛśyaśṛṅgasya cobhayoḥ |

śubhe divasanakṣatre niryāto jagatīpatiḥ || 1.13.36 ||

Thus, following the words of both Vasiṣṭha and Ṛśyaśṛṅga, the lord of the earth set out on an auspicious day under a favorable constellation.

O foremost of kings, you ought to see the sacrificial ground full of sources of entertainment arranged everywhere, as though improvised by imagination".

Respect for wise counsel and ritual propriety: dharma is enacted through obedience to qualified teachers and attention to auspicious order.

Daśaratha proceeds toward the yajña proceedings at the time deemed auspicious by the leading sages.

Humility and discipline: the king aligns his actions with the guidance of Vasiṣṭha and Ṛśyaśṛṅga.
