Bring with due honor Romapāda, the illustrious lord of Aṅga—fortunate and renowned—who is a friend of the lion among kings.
Bring kings from the countries of the eastern and southern regions, from Sindhu, Sauvera and Saurashtra৷৷
Dharma here is the etiquette of honoring worthy guests and allies (susatkāra), especially when inviting them to a sacred act meant for the welfare of the realm.
Vasiṣṭha continues the invitation list, asking Sumantra to escort Romapāda of Aṅga with proper honors.
Romapāda’s public virtue is yaśas (good repute), indicating a ruler respected for conduct and standing.
