हयमेध-यज्ञोपक्रमः — Commencement of the Aśvamedha Preparations
ततस्सर्वे समागम्य वसिष्ठमिदमब्रुवन्।।1.13.16।।यथोक्तं तत्सुविहितं न किञ्चित्परिहीयते।यथोक्तं तत्करिष्यामो न किञ्चित्परिहास्यते।।1.13.17।।
tatas sarve samāgamya vasiṣṭham idam abruvan || 1.13.16 || yathoktaṃ tat suvihitaṃ na kiñcit parihīyate | yathoktaṃ tat kariṣyāmo na kiñcit parihāsyate || 1.13.17 ||
Then all of them assembled and said to Vasiṣṭha: “Just as you instructed, everything has been well arranged; nothing is lacking. Just as you instructed, so shall we do—nothing at all will be omitted.”
Then all of them approached Vasishta and said, "everything has been well-arranged in accordance with your instruction. There is no deficiency. Everything will be done as instructed by you without leaving out anything."
Dharma includes fidelity to right instruction: responsible agents confirm completeness and commit to non-negligence.
After receiving detailed guidance, the organizers report back to Vasiṣṭha that preparations are complete and will be executed exactly.
Ājñā-pālana (adherence to rightful command) and niṣṭhā (steadfastness) in executing a sacred duty.
