Shloka 2.93.5

चित्रकूटमार्गवर्णनम् — Bharata’s Army Reaches Chitrakuta and Searches for Rama

तुरङ्गौघैरवतता वारणैश्च महाजवैः।अनालक्ष्या चिरं कालं तस्मिन्काले बभूव भूः।।2.93.5।।

tac chrutvā bharatas teṣāṃ vacanaṃ sādhusammataṃ | sainyān uvāca sarvāṃs tān amitrabalamardanaḥ || 2.93.24 ||

Hearing their words—approved by the righteous—Bharata, the crusher of hostile forces, addressed all those troops.

At that moment, a multiutde of swift horses and elephants spread out with great speed and the surface of the earth became invisible for a long time.

Dharma is validated by the judgment of the sādhus (the good): Bharata heeds counsel that aligns with righteousness before issuing commands.

After hearing a dharmically approved suggestion from others, Bharata turns to address the entire army.

Responsibility in command: even as a capable warrior, Bharata’s authority is exercised in harmony with moral approval.
