भरद्वाजाश्रमात् चित्रकूटमार्गनिर्देशः — Directions from Bharadvaja’s Hermitage to Chitrakuta
विविधान्यपि यानानि महन्ति च लघूनि च। प्रययु स्सुमहार्हाणि पादै रेव पदातयः।।2.92.34।।
tato vāji-rathān yuktān divyān hema-pariṣkṛtān | adhyārohat prayāṇārthī bahūn bahu-vidho janaḥ || 2.92.32 ||
Then many people of various ranks, eager to set out, mounted excellent horse-chariots—harnessed and ornamented with gold.
Various types of costly carriages, large and small, set forth, while the infantry marched on.
The verse reflects rājadharma in practice: orderly mobilization and disciplined departure of the populace/retinue for a collective purpose.
Bharata’s party prepares to depart; people mount harnessed and decorated chariots as the march begins.
Collective discipline and readiness to act in service of duty (a community aligned toward a righteous objective).
