“Blessed sir, I—together with my ministers, the full force, and the transport animals—have passed the night in comfort; by you we have been abundantly satisfied in every need and wish.”
The male and female elephants wearing golden girths and decorated with pennants, set forth with their bells sounding like thunder-clouds at the end of summer.
Dharma is shown as gratitude and truthful acknowledgment of kindness received—honoring hospitality (atithi-satkāra) and speaking with sincerity (satya).
After being hosted, Bharata reports to Bharadvāja that the entire contingent has been well cared for and satisfied.
Bharata’s gratitude, restraint, and courteous truthfulness in public speech are highlighted.
