O lord of the host, illustrious one—lead your army, filled with elephants, horses, and chariots, by the southern route, or even toward the southwest; then you will behold Rāghava (Rāma).

O distinguished lord of the army, if you lead your army full of elephants, horses and chariots through the southern path or towards the south-west, you will come across Rama there.

Dharma in leadership: purposeful, orderly action guided by wise counsel—moving a large force responsibly to accomplish a righteous aim.

Bharadvāja gives Bharata precise route instructions so he may reach Rāma at Citrakūṭa.

Bharadvāja’s practical wisdom and Bharata’s role as disciplined leader of the host, acting under guidance rather than impulse.
