Shloka 2.91.21

भरद्वाजाश्रमे भरतसैन्यस्य दिव्यात्मिथ्यम् / Divine Hospitality to Bharata’s Army at Bharadvaja’s Hermitage

विचित्राणि च माल्यानि पादपप्रच्युतानि च।सुरादीनि च पेयानि मांसानि विविधानि च।।।।

vicitrāṇi ca mālyāni pādapapracyutāni ca | surādīni ca peyāni māṃsāni vividhāni ca ||

And let there be many-colored garlands, freshly fallen from the trees; wines and other drinks, and meats of various kinds as well.

Let her furnish me with manycoloured garlands of fresh flowers from trees, wines and other drinks and meat of different kinds.

Completeness in honoring guests: dharma is expressed by providing comfort, refreshment, and celebratory offerings appropriate to the visitors’ status and fatigue.

As part of a grand welcome, Bharadvāja calls for festive and restorative items—garlands and beverages, along with plentiful food.

Attentiveness—Bharadvāja anticipates the needs of a large traveling party and arranges both beauty (garlands) and sustenance (food/drink).
