रामशय्यादर्शनम् — Bharata Beholds Rama’s Forest Bed

मन्ये साभरणा सुप्ता सीताऽस्मिञ्छयनोत्तमे।तत्र तत्र हि दृश्यन्ते सक्ताः कनकबिन्दवः।।।।

manye sābharaṇā suptā sītā 'smiñ chayanottame |

tatra tatra hi dṛśyante saktāḥ kanakabindavaḥ ||

I think Sītā slept on this finest couch adorned with her ornaments, for here and there tiny specks of gold can be seen clinging to it.

Some particles of gold dust are seen stuck to this bed here and there. I think Sita might have rested on this excellent bed with all her jewellery.

S
Sītā
G
Gold (kanaka)

Truth grounded in careful observation: Bharata infers Sītā’s presence from small signs, underscoring responsible speech based on evidence rather than assumption.

Bharata examines the resting-place and notes gold specks, concluding Sītā lay there with ornaments.

Bharata’s attentiveness and reverent concern for Sītā’s welfare in exile.
