लक्ष्मणगुणवर्णनम् — Lakshmana’s Vigil and Guha’s Testimony
इयं तात सुखा शय्या त्वदर्थमुपकल्पिता।प्रत्याश्वसिहि शेष्वास्यां सुखं राघवनन्दन।।।।
iyaṃ tāta sukhā śayyā tvadarthamupakalpitā |
pratyāśvasihi śeṣvāsyāṃ sukhaṃ rāghavanandana ||
O dear friend, joy of the Raghu line! This comfortable bed has been prepared for your sake. Be at ease and lie upon it happily.
My friend, Lakshmana, the delight of the Raghavas! this comfortable couch has been arranged for you. Lie down peacefully without any anxiety.
Guha, the king of the Nishadas, is speaking to Lakshmana. Guha is urging Lakshmana to rest on a bed prepared for him, concerned about Lakshmana's comfort while keeping watch over Rama and Sita.
