भरतस्य धर्मप्रतिज्ञा तथा रामनिवर्तनयात्रा (Bharata’s Vow of Dharma and the Expedition to Recall Rama)
तूर्णमुत्थाय गच्छ त्वं सुमन्त्र मम शासनात्।यात्रामाज्ञापय क्षिप्रं बलं चैव समानय।।।।
tūrṇam utthāya gaccha tvaṁ sumantra mama śāsanāt |
yātrām ājñāpaya kṣipraṁ balaṁ caiva samānaya ||
“Sumantra, rise at once and go by my command. Proclaim the departure without delay, and have the troops assembled as well.”
O Sumantra! quickly rise and go. On my authority, order the expedition and let the army be marshalled at once.
Dharma as decisive leadership: a ruler (or acting leader) must act promptly and responsibly, issuing clear orders for a mission aimed at restoring rightful order.
Bharata instructs Sumantra to initiate immediate preparations for departure and to assemble the army.
Bharata’s resolve and sense of duty—swift execution in service of a righteous objective.
