भरतस्य अयोध्याप्रत्यागमनम्

स त्वनेकाग्रहृदयो द्वास्स्थं प्रत्यर्च्य तं जनम्।।2.71.34।।
सूतमश्वपतेः क्लान्तमब्रवीत्तत्र राघवः।
sa tv anekāgrahṛdayo dvāssthaṃ pratyarcya taṃ janam |
sūtam aśvapateḥ klāntam abravīt tatra rāghavaḥ || 2.71.34 ||
But Bharata, his mind unable to settle on one thought, returned the greetings of the gatekeepers and those people there; then he spoke to the exhausted charioteer Aśvapati.
Bewildered, that descendant of Raghu (Bharata), reciprocated the greetings of the gate-keepers and then addressed the exhausted charioteer, Ashwapati:
