Dear child, for whatever reason you have been playing in the water so long—enter the hermitage quickly; your mother here is anxious.

'O Dear child, whatever be the reason, you have been sporting in the water so long, come at once to the hermitage. Your mother is anxious.

Ā
Āśrama (hermitage)

It reflects gṛhastha/āśrama ethics and filial responsibility: the child is called to reassure and serve anxious parents—care for elders is treated as a dharmic obligation.

Within Daśaratha’s remembered Śravaṇa episode, the father calls the son back from the water because the mother is worried.

Parental care and vigilance, and by implication the son’s expected obedience and service.
