Preparations for Rama’s Coronation
प्रगृह्य शिरसा पात्रीं हविषो विधिवत्तदा।महते दैवतायाज्यं जुहाव ज्वलितेऽनले।।2.6.2।।
pragṛhya śirasā pātrīṃ haviṣo vidhivat tadā |
mahate daivatāyājyaṃ juhāva jvalite 'nale || 2.6.2 ||
Then, in due ritual order, bearing the vessel of oblations upon his head, he poured ghee into the blazing sacred fire as an offering to the Great Divinity (Viṣṇu).
On the occasion of Rama's coronation the highway, strewn with flowers and rendered fragrant with the burning of incense by the citizens looked glorious.
