चित्रकूटगमनम् तथा पर्णशालाप्रवेशः (Arrival at Chitrakuta and Establishing the Leaf-Hut)
समभूमितले रम्ये द्रुमैर्बहुभिरावृते।पुण्ये रंस्यामहे तात चित्रकूटस्य कानने।।।।
samabhūmitalē ramyē drumair bahubhir āvṛtē | puṇyē raṃsyāmahē tāta citrakūṭasya kānanē ||
Dear brother, in this sacred forest of Citrakūṭa—lovely, level-grounded, and covered with many trees—let us dwell joyfully.
O dear! this sacred forest of Chitrakuta standing on a level land is full of various trees. Let us enjoy it.
Acceptance of rightful duty (svadharma) with a serene mind: exile is embraced without resentment, turning hardship into a disciplined, sacred way of life.
Rāma expresses to Lakṣmaṇa his intention to enjoy and live in the sacred forest of Citrakūṭa, appreciating its suitability.
