When the fourteen years are completed, you will soon see Lakṣmaṇa, Sītā, and me returned—and thereafter, again and again.
Very quickly these fourteen years will come to an end and we will return (to Ayodhya). Then you will see me, Lakshmana and Sita off and on.
Dharma is endurance with confidence: hardship is faced by keeping faith in the fixed term of duty and in truthful return.
Rāma comforts Sumantra with the assurance that exile is time-bound and that they will return.
Patience (kṣānti) and assurance rooted in truth (satya).
