अभिषेकोपवास-आदेशः (Coronation Preparations and the Fast Enjoined)
तमागतमृषिं रामस्त्वरन्निव ससम्भ्रमः।मानयिष्यन्समानार्हं निश्चक्राम निवेशनात्।।।।
guruṇā tv abhyanujñāto manujaughaṃ visṛjya tam |
viveśāntaḥ-puraṃ rājā siṃho giri-guhām iva ||
Permitted by the preceptor, the king dismissed that gathering of people and entered the inner apartments—like a lion entering a mountain cave.
Seeing the venerable sage(Vasitha) arrive, Rama quickly came out of his abode in great excitement to receive him with honour.
Dharma is rule-governed conduct: even a king acts within counsel and permission of the guru, showing restraint and adherence to proper procedure.
After receiving Vasiṣṭha’s leave/permission, Daśaratha ends the public assembly and moves to the private quarters.
Daśaratha’s deference to spiritual authority and his controlled exercise of power are emphasized.
