Shloka 2.5.26

अभिषेकोपवास-आदेशः (Coronation Preparations and the Fast Enjoined)

तदग्य्रवेषप्रमदाजनाकुलंमहेन्द्रवेश्मप्रतिमं निवेशनम्।विदीपयंश्चारु विवेश पार्थिवश्शशीव तारागणसङ्कुलं नभः।।।।

abhyetya tvaramāṇaś ca rathābhyāśaṃ manīṣiṇaḥ |

tato 'vatārayāmāsa parigṛhya rathāt svayam ||

Hastening to the wise one’s chariot, Rāma himself, taking hold of him with reverent care, helped him down from the chariot.

The king entered the inner apartment thronged with excellently attired women which looked like the palace of Mahendra. He resembled the beautiful Moon that illuminates the sky crowded with stars.ইত্যার্ষে শ্রীমদ্রামাযণে বাল্মীকীয আদিকাব্যে অযোধ্যাকাণ্ডে পঞ্চমস্সর্গঃ৷৷Thus ends the fifth sarga of Ayodhyakanda of the holy Ramayana, the first epic composed by sage Valmiki.

Rāma reaches Vasiṣṭha’s chariot and helps him descend with his own hands.

Rāma’s attentiveness, gentleness, and servant-leadership toward elders and teachers are emphasized.
