सुमित्रोपदेशः — Sumitra’s Consolation to Kausalya
शिरसा चरणावेतौ वन्दमानमनिन्दितेपुनर्द्रक्ष्यसि कल्याणि पुत्रं चन्द्रमिवोदितम्।।।।
śirasā caraṇāv etau vandamānam anindite | punar drakṣyasi kalyāṇi putraṃ candram ivoditam ||
O irreproachable and auspicious one, you will again see your son—like the rising moon—bowing to your feet with his head in reverence.

Mātṛ-bhakti and vinaya (reverence): dharma includes honoring one’s mother; Rama’s return is imagined through the ethical gesture of bowing at her feet.
Kausalya is consoled with a vivid picture of Rama’s eventual return and respectful greeting.
Humility and filial devotion—Rama’s greatness is shown through reverence, not dominance.
