“Take me quickly to the dwelling of Kausalyā, Rāma’s mother; for nowhere else will my heart find solace.”
Take me quickly to the apartment of Rama's mother, Kausalya. There is no other place where my heart can find solace.
In crisis, dharma seeks refuge in rightful relationships: Daśaratha turns toward Kausalyā, acknowledging the moral gravity of what has been done to her son.
Daśaratha, shattered, asks to be taken to Kausalyā’s quarters, believing only there he may find some emotional shelter.
Kausalyā’s steadiness and maternal dharma are implied—she is seen as the rightful source of consolation amid disorder.
