Shloka 2.30.27
सीताया वनानुगमननिश्चयः — Sita’s Resolve to Accompany Rama to the Forest
न देवि तव दुःखेन स्वर्गमप्यभिरोचये।न हि मेऽस्ति भयं किञ्चित्स्वयम्भोरिव सर्वतः।।2.30.27।।
na devi tava duḥkhena svargam apy abhirocaye | na hi me 'sti bhayaṃ kiñcit svayambhor iva sarvataḥ || 2.30.27 ||
“O Devi, when you are in sorrow, I desire not even heaven. For I have no fear from any quarter—like Svayambhū (Brahmā) himself.”
When you are in grief O Devi! I do not desire even heaven. Like the self-created Brahma, I have no fear for any one.
Dharma prioritizes relational responsibility and compassion over personal gain; Rāma values Sītā’s wellbeing above even heavenly reward.
Rāma begins consoling Sītā, declaring that her grief matters more to him than any pleasure, even svarga.
Fearlessness and steadfast love—Rāma presents calm courage while centering Sītā’s emotional state.
