सीताया वनगमननिश्चयः (Sita’s Resolve to Accompany Rama to the Forest)

ईर्ष्यारोषौ बहिष्कृत्य भुक्तशेषमिवोदकम्।नय मां वीर विस्रब्धः पापं मयि न विद्यते।।।।

īrṣyāroṣau bahiṣkṛtya bhuktaśeṣam ivodakam | naya māṁ vīra visrabdhaḥ pāpaṁ mayi na vidyate ||

Cast out jealousy and anger like leftover water after drinking; take me with you, O hero, without mistrust—for there is no fault in me.

Do take me with you, O valiant one! without hesitation. Dismiss all anger and envy (from your mind) like the leftover water after drinking (anger because she disobeys and envy because she, too, like Rama, is willing to brave the hazards of forest life). There is no fault on my part.

S
Sītā
R
Rāma

Dharma here includes emotional discipline and fairness: Sītā asks Rāma to set aside reactive emotions and judge her intent truthfully, grounded in trust and righteousness.

As Rāma hesitates, Sītā counters any suspicion or protective refusal by affirming her blamelessness and urging him to accept her companionship.

Integrity and moral confidence—Sītā insists her request is pure and aligned with dharma.
