O best of men, the wife alone shares in her husband’s destiny. Therefore I too am enjoined to dwell in the forest; your command is binding on me as well.

A wife alone, O best of men shares the destiny of her husband. I am also therefore, ordered to dwell in the forest. ( a command to you is a command to me).

Sītā articulates marital dharma as shared fate and shared duty: the spouse should not seek comfort apart from the other’s righteous path, especially in hardship.

Rāma tries to prevent Sītā from joining him in exile; Sītā counters by asserting that her rightful place is with him in the forest.

Sītā’s loyalty and truth-commitment (satya): she treats Rāma’s dharmic decision as her own binding duty, showing steadfast companionship.
