Shloka 2.27.2

सीताया वनगमननिश्चयः (Sita’s Resolve to Accompany Rama to the Forest)

किमिदं भाषसे राम वाक्यं लघुतया ध्रुवम्।त्वया यदपहास्यं मे श्रुत्वा नरवरात्मज।।।।

evaṃ varṣasahasrāṇāṃ śataṃ vāhaṃ tvayā saha |

vyatikramaṃ na vetsyāmi svargo 'pi na hi me mataḥ ||

Thus, even if I lived with you for a thousand years—or even a hundred thousand—I would not feel time passing; for me, not even heaven is desirable.

O Rama! why are you speaking so lightly? O prince! if you hear these very same words (spoken to you), you will ridicule me.

S
Sītā
R
Rāma
H
Heaven (svarga)

Right values (dharma) prioritize faithful companionship and truth of the heart over pleasure or reward—even heavenly gain.

Sītā intensifies her argument: life with Rāma makes any duration bearable; separation makes even heaven worthless.

Single-minded devotion (ananya-bhakti/ekānta-niṣṭhā) and value-clarity.
