कौशल्याया मङ्गलविधानम् — Kausalya’s Benedictions and Protective Rites for Rama

May the auspicious blessing that Aditi granted to Indra, wielder of the vajra, when he struck down the Daityas at the arising of amṛta, be yours as well.
May you be bestowed with the same blessings conferred by Aditi on Indra, the wielder of thunder for the killing of daityas at the time nectar was generated!
Defense of cosmic and moral order is treated as dharma: the blessing tied to Indra’s protection of the divine cause is invoked for Rāma’s righteous endurance in adversity.
Kauśalyā continues invoking exemplary divine moments of victory and protection to fortify Rāma’s impending forest-life trials.
Protective strength aligned with righteousness—power is valued when used to uphold order rather than personal gain.
