Shloka 2.17.11

रामस्य राजमार्गगमनम् (Rama’s Progress along the Royal Highway)

अतो हि नः प्रियतरं नान्यत्किञ्चिद्भविष्यति।।।।यथाऽभिषेको रामस्य राज्येनामिततेजसः।

ato hi naḥ priyataraṃ nānyat kiñcid bhaviṣyati |

yathā 'bhiṣeko rāmasya rājyena amitatejasaḥ || 2.17.11 ||

Therefore, for us nothing will be dearer than the sacred consecration (abhisheka) of Rama—of undimmed splendor—into kingship.

For us, there is nothing dearer in the kingdom than the consecration of Rama of undimmed brilliance.

Abhiṣeka (coronation)

The verse frames dharma as rightful succession: the community longs for a ruler whose character is proven, seeing coronation as the establishment of moral order in governance.

People express that Rama’s coronation is their highest joy and most desired event.

Amitatejas (unfailing moral and royal brilliance), implying steadiness, capability, and legitimacy.
