Shloka 2.15.17
अभिषेकसज्जा तथा सुमन्त्रस्य प्रेषणम् (Coronation Preparations and Sumantra’s Commission)
रामं राज्ञो नियोगेन त्वरया प्रस्थितोऽस्म्यहम्।।2.15.17।।पूज्या राज्ञो भवन्तस्तु रामस्य च विशेषतः।
rāmaṃ rājño niyogena tvarayā prasthito'smyaham | pūjyā rājño bhavantastu rāmasya ca viśeṣataḥ ||
By the King’s command I am setting out in haste to Rāma. You are all venerable to the King, and especially to Rāma.
In obedience to the king's command I am hurrying for Rama. All of you are honourable to king Dasaratha, especially to Rama.
Sumantra is acting under the direct and urgent command of King Dasaratha to fetch Rama, signifying the critical nature of the unfolding events in Ayodhya.
It highlights the ethical conduct (Sadachara) of the royal house, particularly Rama, who treats all individuals, regardless of status, with dignity and respect.
