Thus, blessed with auspicious benedictions by the ascetic brahmins with folded hands, Rāma—tormentor of foes—entered the forest with his wife and with Lakṣmaṇa, like the sun entering a mass of clouds.
The ascetics have duly offered oblations to the fire in Agnihotra sacrifices and the smoke, tawny like the pigeon's body, emanates wafted by the wind.
Dharma is upheld through rightful conduct supported by the blessings of the righteous: Rama proceeds not as a wanderer of whim, but as one sanctioned by the dharmic community.
After receiving guidance and blessings from ascetic brahmins, Rama enters the forest accompanied by Sita and Lakshmana.
Rama’s steadfastness (dhṛti) and leadership under hardship—moving forward into danger while remaining anchored in dharma and responsibility.
