अनसूयाप्रीतिदानम् — Anasūyā’s Blessing and the Forest Path
प्रहृष्टस्त्वभवद्रामो लक्ष्मणश्च महारथः।मैथिल्यास्सत्क्रियां दृष्ट्वा मानुषेषु सुदुर्लभाम्।।।।
prahṛṣṭas tv abhavad rāmo lakṣmaṇaś ca mahārathaḥ | maithilyāḥ satkriyāṁ dṛṣṭvā mānuṣeṣu sudurlabhām ||
Rāma—and Lakṣmaṇa, the great warrior—were filled with joy on seeing the honor shown to Maithilī, an honor rarely found among mortals.
Rama the great charioteer and Lakshmana were exceedingly gratified to see the honour conferred on Sita, rare among mortals.
Dharma values satkāra (honouring the worthy). The verse praises a culture where virtue is recognized and respected—something rare in the ordinary world.
Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa witness the special honour given to Sītā and feel glad.
Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa’s delight in seeing virtue honoured, reflecting reverence for dharmic conduct.
