विश्वामित्रस्तु धर्मात्मा मम पित्रा सुपूजितः।।2.118.45।।प्रोवाच पितरं तत्र भ्रातरौ रामलक्ष्मणौ।
viśvāmitras tu dharmātmā mama pitrā supūjitaḥ | provāca pitaraṃ tatra bhrātarau rāmalakṣmaṇau || 2.118.45 ||
There the righteous Viśvāmitra, duly honored by my father, spoke to him about those two brothers—Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa.
Having accepted the honour extended by my father, righteous Viswamitra spoke to him about those two brothers, Rama and Lakshmana.
Honoring dharmic authority: kings uphold dharma by reverencing sages; sages uphold dharma by guiding rulers toward righteous action.
Viśvāmitra is received with honor by Janaka and then introduces/commends Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa.
Mutual propriety: Janaka’s hospitality and Viśvāmitra’s righteous advocacy for the princes.
