पादुकाप्रदानं भरतस्य निवृत्तिश्च (The Sandals Bestowed; Bharata’s Return Toward Ayodhya)
तमृषिं तु महात्मानमुक्तवाक्यं कृताञ्जलिः।आमन्त्रयितुमारेभे चरणावुपगृह्य च।।।।
tam ṛṣiṃ tu mahātmānam uktavākyaṃ kṛtāñjaliḥ | āmantrayitum ārebhe caraṇāv upagṛhya ca ||
Then, with palms joined, he approached that great sage who had thus spoken; clasping his feet, he began to take leave.
Hearing the words of the magnanimous Bharadwaja, Bharata paid his respect, folding his palms, and clasping the feet of the sage and sought his permission to leave.
Reverence and humility toward spiritual elders: seeking permission and honoring sages is part of dharmic conduct.
After being praised and counseled, Bharata respectfully takes leave of Bharadvāja.
