Shloka 2.112.6

पादुकाप्रदानम् (The Gift of the Sandals and Delegated Kingship)

सदाऽनृणमिमं रामं वयमिच्छामहे पितुः।

आनृणत्वाच्च कैकेय्या: स्वर्गम् दशरथो गतः।।2.112.6।।

hlāditas tena vākyena śubhena śubhadarśanaḥ | rāmaḥ saṃhṛṣṭavadanas tān ṛṣīn abhyapūjayat || 2.112.8 ||

Rāma, of auspicious form, gladdened by those blessed words, honored the sages with a radiant and delighted face.

We always desire that Rama should discharge his debt to his father. Dasaratha, who by redeeming himself of his obligation to Kaikeyi, had ascended heaven.
