Shloka 2.112.11

पादुकाप्रदानम् (The Gift of the Sandals and Delegated Kingship)

रक्षितुं सुमहद्राज्यमहमेकस्तु नोत्सहे।पौरजानपदांश्चापि रक्तान्रञ्जयितुं तथा।।2.112.11।।

antarhitā munigaṇāḥ siddhāś ca paramarṣayaḥ | tau bhrātarau mahātmānau kākutsthau praśaśaṃsire || 2.112.2 ||

Invisible to sight, hosts of sages—along with siddhas and great seers—praised those two magnanimous brothers of the Kakutstha line.

I do not venture to protect this kingdom all by myself and keep the inhabitants of the towns and villages who are loyal to you pleased.

Mahātmyam—great-souled nobility—shown through restraint, humility, and commitment to rightful duty.
