Through auspicious, cherished deeds, through sacrifices and offerings accompanied by proper dakṣiṇā, our father Daśaratha—the lord of the earth—reached heaven.

Dharma is upheld through sacred duty (yajña) joined with generosity (dakṣiṇā/dāna); ritual is not merely performance but responsibility toward others.

Bharata lists Daśaratha’s meritorious acts to show that the king’s end is spiritually auspicious rather than tragic.

Reverence for righteous action: Bharata highlights the king’s piety and generosity as grounds for equanimity.
