Behold, in due rite, this offering that Rāghava (Rāma) has given to his father—Daśaratha, the great-souled lord of the Ikṣvāku line.
Have darsan of this pinda offered by Rama according to tradition to his magnanimous father, Dasaratha, lord of the Ikshvaku race.
Ritual and filial dharma: performing prescribed rites (yathāvidhi) for one’s father is treated as a moral obligation sustaining social and spiritual order.
Vasiṣṭha draws attention to the piṇḍa offering made by Rāma for Daśaratha.
Reverence and correctness in duty—Rāma’s careful adherence to tradition despite exile.
