पम्पादर्शनम् — Vision of Lake Pampā and the Turn toward Sugrīva
एवं ब्रुवाणं तं धीरं रामं सौमित्रिरब्रवीत्।।3.75.9।।गच्छावस्त्वरितं तत्र ममापि त्वरते मनः।
evaṃ bruvāṇaṃ taṃ dhīraṃ rāmaṃ saumitrirabravīt | gacchāvastvaritaṃ tatra mamāpi tvarate manaḥ ||
To that steadfast Rama, speaking thus, Saumitri (Lakshmana) replied: “Let us go there quickly; my heart too hastens with longing.”
To the words of Rama who was of stable mind, Lakshmana replied : My mind too is hastening me. Let us get there quickly.
Saumitri refers to Lakshmana, derived from his mother's name, Sumitra.
The word 'dhīram' describes Rama as steadfast, stable-minded, or courageous, indicating his composure even during their difficult journey.
