शबरी-आश्रम-प्रवेशः (Rama and Lakshmana at Sabari’s Hermitage)
कच्चित्ते निर्जिता विघ्नाः कच्चित्ते वर्धते तपः।कच्चित्ते नियतः क्रोध आहारश्च तपोधने।।।।
divyābharaṇasaṃyuktā divyamālyānulepanā | divyāmbaradharā tatra babhūva priyadarśanā || virājayantī taṃ deśaṃ vidyutsaudāmanī yathā |
There she appeared in a divine form—adorned with heavenly ornaments, garlands, and fragrant unguents, clothed in radiant garments—illumining that place like a flash of lightning.
O ascetic ! hope you have overcome your obstacles to penance, you have controlled your anger and your desire for food. Is your austerity in progress.
Dharma bears fruit: a life of truthful discipline and devotion culminates in inner and outer radiance—symbolized by Śabarī’s transformed, luminous appearance.
After leaving her mortal body, Śabarī is described as manifesting a divine, radiant form that brightens the region.
The fruition of steadfast devotion (bhakti) and tapas—spiritual effort resulting in purity and splendor.
