शबरी-आश्रम-प्रवेशः (Rama and Lakshmana at Sabari’s Hermitage)

तामुवाच ततो रामश्श्रमणीं संशितव्रताम्।अर्चितोऽहं त्वया भक्त्या गच्छकामं यथासुखम्।।।।

Then Rāma said to the ascetic woman, steadfast in her vow: “You have worshiped me with devotion; go now as you wish, in peace and happiness.”

Looking at Sabari who was steadfast in her vow, Rama said, O ascetic, you have worshipped me with devotion. You may go wherever you like (to the world you desire)

śramaṇī (ascetic woman)

Dharma is honoring sincere devotion without prejudice: Rāma validates Śabarī’s bhakti and permits her chosen spiritual completion, combining compassion with propriety.

Śabarī has asked permission to relinquish her body; Rāma responds by acknowledging her worship and granting her leave to proceed as she wishes.

Rāma’s grace and fairness: he recognizes inner purity and devotion, responding with gentle authorization rather than attachment or refusal.
