शबरी-आश्रम-प्रवेशः (Rama and Lakshmana at Sabari’s Hermitage)
अद्य प्राप्ता तपस्सिद्धिस्तव संदर्शनान्मया।अद्य मे सफलं तप्तं गुरवश्च सुपूजिताः।।।।
adya prāptā tapas-siddhis tava saṁdarśanān mayā | adya me saphalaṁ taptaṁ guravaś ca supūjitāḥ ||
Today, by beholding you, my tapas has reached fulfillment. Today my practiced penance has borne fruit, and my teachers have been truly honored.
On seeing you now my penance has attained fulfilment, my services to my preceptors have borne fruit.
Dharma is twofold: steadfast spiritual discipline (tapas) and reverence for teachers (guru-sevā). Śabarī links her success to both sincere practice and honoring her preceptors.
Śabarī tells Rama that his very presence completes her lifelong austerities and validates her service to her teachers.
Gratitude and truthfulness (satya): she openly acknowledges the sources of her spiritual attainment—Rama’s दर्शन and her gurus’ guidance.
