Shloka 3.72.26

कबन्धमोक्षः—सुग्रीवमैत्र्युपदेशः (Kabandha’s Release and Counsel to Befriend Sugriva)

वानरांश्च महाकायान्प्रेषयिष्यति राघव।।3.72.25।।दिशो विचेतुं तां सीतां त्वद्वियोगेन शोचतीम्।स ज्ञास्यति वरारोहां निर्मलां रावणालये।।3.72.26।।

sa vidhūya citām āśu vidhūmo ’gnir ivotthitaḥ |

araje vāsasī bibhran mālāṃ divyāṃ mahābalaḥ ||

Shaking off the pyre at once, the mighty one rose up like smokeless fire, wearing spotless garments and a divine garland.

Sugriva will find out the lady of purity and chastity brooding over you in separation in the abode of Ravana. He can send gigantic monkeys in different directions in order to search for her.

Right action can become a means of restoration: when a curse/impurity is removed, one’s true nature can re-emerge—an ethical motif of redemption through dharmic intervention.

Kabandha’s cursed form is ended; he manifests in a purified, radiant form immediately after the cremation.

Kabandha’s gratitude and truthfulness are implied, preparing him to give sincere guidance to Rama.
