अयोमुखी-दर्शनम् तथा कबन्ध-प्रवेशः (Ayomukhi Encounter and the ظهور of Kabandha)
स महाबाहुरत्यर्थं प्रसार्य विपुलौ भुजौ।जग्राह सहितावेव राघवौ पीडयन्बलात्।।।।
sa mahā-bāhur atyarthaṁ prasārya vipulau bhujau |
jagrāha sahitāv eva rāghavau pīḍayan balāt ||3.69.35||
That long-armed one stretched out his massive arms and seized the two Rāghavas together, crushing them with force.
The long-armed demon spread his hands and caught hold of Rama and Lakshmana together by pressing them with all his force.
Dharma is tested under coercion: righteousness is not merely calm speech but steadfastness when physically overpowered and threatened.
Kabandha attacks directly, extending his arms and capturing Rama and Lakshmana at once.
Endurance and composure under assault—remaining oriented to right action even when freedom is constrained.
