Approaching the two heroes, she seized Lakṣmaṇa as he walked ahead of his brother and said, “Come—let us sport together.”

She came close to them, held Lakshmana who was walking ahead of his brother and said Come, let us enjoy.

The verse highlights a breach of maryādā (proper boundaries): coercive, inappropriate desire is portrayed as adharma, especially when it violates consent and social restraint.

The demoness suddenly advances and physically grabs Lakṣmaṇa, proposing sexual enjoyment.

Lakṣmaṇa’s steadfastness is implied—he is targeted, yet the narrative prepares for his firm response in defense of propriety and safety.
