अयोमुखी-दर्शनम् तथा कबन्ध-प्रवेशः (Ayomukhi Encounter and the ظهور of Kabandha)
आसाद्य तौ नरव्याघ्रौ दर्यास्तस्याविदूरतः।ददृशाते महारूपां राक्षसीं विकृताननाम्।।।।
āsādya tau naravyāghrau daryās tasyā avidūrataḥ |
dadṛśāte mahārūpāṃ rākṣasīṃ vikṛtānanām ||
Reaching the cave, those two tiger-like men saw, not far from it, a rākṣasī of enormous size, her face grotesquely disfigured.
Both the princes,the best among men, reached the cave and saw a huge demoness with a disfigured face not far from the cave.
Dharma requires vigilance: encountering threatening forces is part of the righteous path, and discernment precedes action.
At the cave’s vicinity, Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa come upon a gigantic, terrifying demoness.
