Shloka 3.67.5

जटायुवृत्तान्तः — Jatāyu’s Testimony and Rāma’s Grief

सन्तीह गिरिदुर्गाणि निर्दराः कन्दराणि च।।।।गुहाश्च विविधा घोरा नानामृगगणाकुलाः।आवासाः किन्नराणां च गन्धर्वभवनानि च।।।।

tāni yukto mayā sārdhaṁ tvam anveṣitum arhasi | tvadvidhā buddhisampannā mahātmāno nararṣabha || āpatsu na prakampante vāyuvegair ivācalāḥ ||

With me beside you, you should search those places. Great-souled men like you—wise, O best of men—do not tremble in calamity, like mountains unmoved by the rush of the winds.

Here are difficult mountains, caves, valleys, dreadful caves full of different animals, dwelling-places of kinneras and mansions of gandharvas.

Dharma is steadiness under संकट (āpatti): righteous action requires inner stability and continued effort even when circumstances are overwhelming.

Lakṣmaṇa encourages Rāma to proceed with the search, asserting that wise and great persons remain unshaken in crises.

Dhṛti (fortitude): the capacity to remain firm and act purposefully despite grief and danger.
