Seeing Rāma afflicted with burning grief, Lakṣmaṇa said: “You should first search this very Janasthāna—dense with many rākṣasas and filled with varied trees and creepers.”

Rama hugged the king of vultures with servered wings, drenched in blood and asking him where Sita who was as dear to him as his life was, he dropped him and fell down on the ground.ityārṣē śrīmadrāmāyaṇē vālmīkīya ādikāvyē araṇyakāṇḍē saptaṣaṣṭitamassargaḥ৷৷Thus ends the sixtyseventh sarga of Aranyakanda of the holy Ramayana the first epic composed by sage Valmiki.

Dharma is expressed as disciplined, step-by-step inquiry: Lakṣmaṇa urges a methodical search grounded in reality, not despair.

Lakṣmaṇa responds to Rāma’s anguish by proposing that they search Janasthāna first, despite its dangers.

Steadfast intelligence (buddhi) and supportive loyalty—Lakṣmaṇa offers practical guidance to stabilize Rāma.
