O bull among the Ikshvakus, first assess your own prowess—both divine and human—and then strive for the slaying of your foes.
You (rigidly) adhere to truth.(Like you) the mother earth who is adored by all the worlds, is unshakeable. Yet she is seen to be shaking at times.
Dharma requires viveka (discernment): power—whether ‘divine’ or ‘human’—must be weighed and directed purposefully against wrongdoing, not released blindly.
Lakshmana urges Rama to move from grief to deliberate action, preparing to confront and destroy the hostile forces responsible for Sita’s abduction.
Measured heroism: the capacity to evaluate one’s strength and then act decisively for justice.
